  • Some Skylanders are locked. How can I unlock them?

    Locked Skylanders will unlock as you gain levels. When a Skylander unlocks, two things happen:

    • That Skylander is added to your Skylander spin pool.
    • That Skylander can be purchased with Gems in the Skylander Select menu.
  • My Skylander spin cost keeps changing!

    Skylander spin costs are calculated from how many Skylanders you have. Don't forget: the more Skylanders you have, the more Gold you can collect. Keep working toward that next spin!

  • I was going to link a Skylander, but it says he's locked. Does that mean I won't be able to use him if I link before that level?

    No. If you link a Skylander, you will be able to use that Skylander even if you haven't reached the required level.
    Follow these steps to link your Skylander!

  • What are Kudos and how do I get them?

    Kudos are a social currency that can be earned and spent in the game.

    They are used to buy exclusive rewards like Structures, Companions and even Skylanders. Look throughout the various in-game stores to find the Kudos items.

    You can earn Kudos by visiting and gifting your friends. Tap on the Kudos icon in the upper right hand corner of the game to get to the Friends page.

    1. Visiting – Tap on a friend’s name to visit their Kingdom.

      Now look for Kudos hidden around their Kingdom.

      New Kudos are available to find every day.

    2. Gifting – Tap on a green envelope icon next to a friend to send a gift. Tap on an orange gift icon to open a gift.

      Gifts usually contain Kudos but will occasionally have a gem. You can send a new gift to each friend every day.

    Aura will join you as a friend at Kingdom Level 7. Be sure to send her gifts as she will send them back.

  • After signing in with a new ACTIVATE account, I have lost my progress (Level, Gems, Coins, etc...). Can I get it back somehow?

    Don't Panic! You probably haven't lost your progress. If you log out of your ACTIVATE account (on that same device), your previous Lost Islands data should appear.

    To first log out of ACTIVATE:

    Tap the KUDOS icon in the top right corner of the game.

    Now, tap the ACTIVATE logo on the left side of the Friends page.

    Tap on "Settings" and scroll down until you see the "Log Out" button.

    Return to the game. You should see your progress, and your data should match up. If it does not show up, then your progress has already migrated to another ACTIVATE account, or your progress has been lost when you deleted Lost Islands from the current device.

    If your progress reappears after logging out of ACTIVATE, follow these steps to transfer your progress to your ACTIVATE account:

    Open Lost Islands on the device that currently has the progress you would like to use with ACTIVATE.

    Make sure you are logged out of ACTIVATE and that the progress you see is what you want in your ACTIVATE account. Continuing with these steps will overwrite whatever progress you may have made on other devices on this ACTIVATE account.

    Access the Options menu.

    Tap the Transfer Save button.

    In the "Save Data" pop up that appears, tap the OVERWRITE button.

    Log into ACTIVATE with the account you want to migrate your data to.

    The game will reload, and you will be asked if you are sure you want to continue.

    When you agree to this, your ACTIVATE save will be overwritten with the save data stored on the device. You will not be able to retrieve any save data you might lose from your ACTIVATE account once it is overwritten.

    This is the last step! Make certain that you want to transfer your progress to your ACTIVATE account. Once you agree, your ACTIVATE data will be overwritten with the progress stored on the current device. You will not be able to retrieve your ACTIVATE save data once it is overwritten.

  • How do I add friends?

    You can add friends via three different ways: Facebook, Game Center, and ACTIVATE. The first step to add a friend is to go the Friends page by tapping on the Kudos icon in the top right corner of the game.

    1. Facebook - To add your Facebook friends that are currently playing Skylanders Lost Islands tap on the Facebook icon.

      You will then be asked to authorize the Skylanders Lost Islands app via Facebook. Once you have accepted the permissions your Facebook friends will show up in game.

      You can also send invites to Facebook friends that do not have Skylanders Lost Islands. Press the Facebook icon again to bring up a list of Facebook friends to invite to play.

    2. Game Center: To add your Game Center friends that are currently playing Skylanders Lost Islands you will have to sign into Game Center via the Game Center app or the in-game prompt.

    3. ACTIVATE - To add your ACTIVATE friends that are currently playing Skylanders Lost Islands tap on the ACTIVATE icon.

      Follow the prompts to create an ACTIVATE account or login to your existing account. Once logged in you can add friends directly through ACTIVATE or link your Facebook account to enable Facebook Auto-Friend.

  • I’m signed in to ACTIVATE, but the friends I can invite aren’t MY friends.

    Make sure that nobody else is currently logged in to Facebook on your device. Check the Facebook App or the device’s internet browser. If someone else is logged in through the browser or the App, you may be seeing their friend list, or you may be posting to their wall.

    Make sure you are signed in to the correct Facebook account through the App or the internet browser. To check this, tap the Options button in the Action Menu.

    Now, tap the Authorize button.

    This should bring you to Facebook. You should be able to confirm that the correct user is logged in and authorized to post, or log in.

    If this brings you to a Facebook account that is not the one you want to post to, tap cancel, and log out of the account. Then, log in to the correct Facebook account.

  • I’m signed in to ACTIVATE, and I can’t see the shares I’ve made on my Facebook wall.

    Make sure that nobody else is currently logged in to Facebook on your device. Check the Facebook App or the device’s internet browser. If someone else is logged in through the browser or the App, you may be seeing their friend list, or you may be posting to their wall.

    Make sure you are signed in to the correct Facebook account through the App or the internet browser. To check this, tap the Options button in the Action Menu.

    Now, tap the Authorize button.

    This should bring you to Facebook. You should be able to confirm that the correct user is logged in and authorized to post, or log in.

    If this brings you to a Facebook account that is not the one you want to post to, tap cancel, and log out of the account. Then, log in to the correct Facebook account.

  • How do I save my game to the Cloud?

    Your game will automatically save to the cloud at set intervals and during certain events. A notification flag will appear in the upper right corner during cloud saving.

    In order to make sure you have your most recent game saved to the cloud you should manually save your game. To do this you will first access the ACTION MENU, then the OPTIONS menu.

    If you are signed into ACTIVATE you will then have the option to SAVE TO CLOUD.

    This is highly recommended when switching between devices.

  • How do I get more Gems?

    You can get Gems by purchasing them through the Gem Store. Access the Gem Store by tapping the Gem icon in the HUD. Please note that a Gem Store purchase uses real money.

    Simply by playing the game, you may sometimes be awarded Gems for accomplishments such as leveling up your Kingdom or increasing your Hero Rank.

  • How do I unlock more Skylanders?

    You can unlock more Skylanders one of three ways:

    Acquire enough Gems to unlock the Skylander in the Skylander Select Screen. Tap the BUY button in the Skylanders Select screen under the Skylander you wish to purchase, and then use the Gems button to buy that Skylander.

    You can enter in the Web Code found on the Web Code Card that is included with all Skylander toy purchases. To do this, locate the Skylander of your choice in the Skylander Select Screen and tap on the barcode icon. When prompted, enter in the 10 digit code found on your Web Code Card.

    Skylanders may only be unlocked a limited number of times, so guard your code!

    You can unlock your Skylanders by using the Bluetooth Portal of Power and your Skylander toys.

  • How do I get more Gold?

    The best way to get Gold is by sending your Skylanders on Adventures using the Adventure Balloon or the Adventure Airship.

    Besides completing Adventures, there are many actions that will give Gold as a reward. You can earn them when you complete Goals, clear Troll Camps or Sheep Mobs, or activate an Elemental Sanctuary.

    You can also exchange Gems for Gold packs by clicking on the Gold icon in the HUD.

  • What is Energy?

    Energy is used by Skylanders to perform actions in the Lost Islands. A Skylander will require Energy to raid Troll Camps or Sheep Mobs, interact with Debris or Sanctuaries, or go on Adventures.

  • How do I get more Energy?

    Energy can be obtained by planting and harvesting Energy Crops from Energy Fields. Some Goals will reward the player with Energy.

    You can also exchange Gems for Energy by tapping the Energy icon in the HUD.

  • How do I get to the next Kingdom Level?

    Level up your Kingdom by collecting Kingdom XP from Community buildings and Houses. View your progress to the next level in the Kingdom XP bar in the HUD. You can also collect Kingdom XP by clearing space on your islands and completing Goals.

    The light blue portion shows progress toward the next Kingdom level.

  • What is the Kingdom Info Panel?

    Tap the Kingdom XP icon on the HUD to bring up the Kingdom Info Panel. This panel will give you two pieces of valuable information.

    How many Mabu are available for work and total number of Mabu in your Kingdom. Each Mabu House will give you a certain number of Mabu citizens. Mabu citizens are required to build and run Community buildings, such as a Post Office or a Bank. As long as that building is built, those Mabu will be busy working at that building and will be unavailable.

    The current Element of the Day. The Element of the Day will give bonuses when an in-game action corresponds to the Element of the Day. For example, if the Element of the Day is Water, completing a Water Adventure will give a bonus to your Gold payout, or using a Water elemental Skylander to clear a Troll Camp will give a bonus Gold payout.

  • Where did my Skylander go?

    The Skylander could be on an Adventure, clearing a Troll Camp or Sheep Mob, or dealing with Debris or a Sanctuary. In these cases, an icon will be showing that your Skylander is busy.

    If you cannot find your Skylander on your islands, it is possible that your Skylander was unsummoned to make room for more active Skylanders. To bring that particular Skylander back to your island, just tap Summon from the Skylander Select Screen.

    Skylander is currently on an Adventure, clearing a Sheep or Troll Camp, or Feats, such as a Treasure Chest, Sanctuary, or Epic Debris.

    Available for the action at hand. ‘Select’ will only be an option when choosing a Skylander to take action.

    This will center the camera on a Skylander that is idle in the Lost Islands.

    The Skylander has been unsummoned to make room for other Skylanders. This button will bring them back to the world. This will appear on a Skylander you own, but haven’t used for an action in a while. Don’t worry, you still own this character, and bringing that Skylander back into the world will not cost a thing.

  • How do I increase my Skylander’s Hero Rank?

    Increase your Hero Rank by collecting Hero Points. This will show up as an icon of that Skylander’s face. Hero Points will come from sending a Skylander on Adventures with the Adventure Balloon, capturing Trolls, and many other actions!

    Your Skylander’s Hero Point progress can be found in that Skylander’s info card in the Skylanders Select Screen.

  • What if I don’t want to do a Goal?

    You can skip the majority of the Goals in the game. Skipping a Goal will cost Gems. When you skip a Goal, you will get credit for completing the Goal, but the Goal will not complete the required action. For example, if you skip a Goal asking you to plant Ambrosia, the game will not plant the Ambrosia for you.

  • I don’t know what I’m supposed to do next. Help!

    If it feels like there’s nothing to do, check the Goal scroll. There may be new Goals or unfinished Goals waiting for you.

    The question mark indicates a new Goal.

  • How do I pair my bluetooth Portal of Power with my iOS Device?

    Follow these simple steps to connect to your Portal of Power (this only needs to be done once per device):

    1. Make sure the Bluetooth Portal of Power is turned on.
    2. Press the Bluetooth sync button on the bottom of the Portal of Power (the status LED will blink rapidly).

    3. From within the Bluetooth settings, tap on Portal of Power in the device list.
    4. Your Portal of Power should now be paired with your device!
  • Why did my Portal turn off?

    If the Portal of Power is not used for 3 minutes, it will enter sleep mode. Press the Power button to turn ON the Portal of Power again.

  • How do I turn my Portal of Power off?

    Press and hold the power button (located on the side of the Portal) for 1 second.

  • What do I do if my game is crashing?

    You may be running low on system memory. Try turning your device off then on again or close other applications that may be running. If these methods do not solve the problem please contact Activision Customer Support

  • Why can't I register for a new ACTIVATE account?

    We are no longer allowing ACTIVATE account registration in this title. Only users with existing accounts may continue to login to ACTIVATE.

  • Seizure Warning

    • Play in a well-lit room.
    • Do not play when you are drowsy or need sleep.
    • Take a 15 minute break every hour.
    • Hold the screen as far away from yourself as possible.
    • Play video games on the smallest screen available.
